Since being formed in 2004, the BC Sustainable Energy Association has been busy shaping BC energy policy towards a direction that does not compromise the ability of current and future generations to meet their own needs. From advocating for greater efficiency measures, to intervening against polluting energy proposals, to education activities in schools, the BCSEA has taken a multi-faceted approach.
Incredibly, to date all its achievements have been largely on volunteer energy, as the organization currently only has one full time staff person (provincial co-ordinator Peter Ronald). It speaks to the passion and expertise of the many hands-on members that have taken it upon themselves to be directly involved in building an energy system in BC that comes from renewable, efficient sources, while respecting the integrity of nature.
The BCSEA’s website is currently undergoing re-construction. Visit them at www.BCSEA.org
