The Peace Energy Cooperative promotes the development of renewable energy resources. Investment in the cooperative provides member benefit from renewable energy development.
It also provides education on renewable energy; small wind, solar, geothermal.

Peace Energy Cooperative (PEC) was incorporated to promote the development and adoption of renewable energy sources in the BC and Alberta Peace. Early PEC Directors were amongst the very first to recognize the tremendous clean energy opportunities that exist for the region. PEC continues to focus on the future and is committed to providing its members with the opportunity to participate in, and profit from, renewable energy developments. With over 300 members across Canada, PEC is strongly positioned for continued success!

In 2004 PEC acquired the rights to investigate and monitor wind resources on Bear Mountain, near Dawson Creek, BC. The Bear Mountain Wind Park (BMW) began construction in late 2007 and will see commissioning by November of 2009. As an original development partner, Peace Energy Cooperative secured, for its members investing in Class A Shares, an investment in the wind park.

In pursuing the mission and vision of PEC, the Board of Directors looks to:
- Educate the community, business leaders, politicians and citizens about renewable energy
- Facilitate the development and adoption of clean, renewable energy resources in the Peace
- Continue investment opportunities for members in renewable energy developments
- Achieve economic self-sufficiency for the Peace Energy Cooperative.

Peace Energy is doing something to change, limit and reverse human-induced Climate Change by building a clean energy future. By becoming a member, you’ll be doing something too!
