As planning for the Fundy Tidal Energy Demonstration Facility continues to unfold, OREG is holding a tidal energy event to discuss its developments, as well as the future of tidal and ocean based energy in Canada. The spring event has three main objectives:
To share learning and bring together those who must work on developing the region’s clean energy and economic opportunities
To pursue collaboration in approaches to sustainable tidal and in-stream energy in the Bay of Fundy region; Atlantic Canada and North East USA
To set standards for development and create lessons that can be applied to wave, tidal and in-stream energy development in other jurisdictions.
