Lethbridge College wind program wins national award

Lethbridge, Alberta -
Lethbridge College’s International Wind Energy Academy program has been selected as the winner of the 2008-2009 Association of Canadian Community Colleges Program Excellence Award.
Focusing on an emerging industry and green careers, Lethbridge College’s wind turbine technician program attracts students from across Canada and the United States, as well as international students. There is a strong movement to develop the wind industry in southern Alberta and the college is poised to be a North American leader in the training and development of a new workforce.
