String of clean power and energy industry events in Ontario in May

Several must-attend events for anyone interested in being part of Ontario’s surging renewable energy future are being held through the month of May.

a) On May 11 GreenPeace Canada and the European Energy Council are holding an event to launch (R)evolution: A Sustainable Canada Energy Outlook.  This groundbreaking new report is a comprehensive look at the latest in Canada-specific solutions for dramatically reducing greenhouse gas emissions while growing our economy for the new century.  The event takes place at the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel in Ottawa.

b) The Canadian Institute hosts Power Management in Ontario, May 12 and 13.  The event takes place at the Marriot Bloor Yorkshire Hotel in Toronto.  Its focus is on the wide-scope issues affecting the policy, politics, and infrastructure of Ontario’s electricity supply system.  High-level networking event.  OSEA members receive a 15% discount.

c) On Sunday May 31, the Citizens for Renewable Energy holds its 2009 Annual General Meeting in St Clements Ontario.  This organization is involved with community-level clean energy development in its own community.  The event will feature a keynote speech by Cherise Burda of the Pembina Institute.
