Wind Power in Canada Grows 40% in 2009

According to the Canadian Wind Energy Association, new installed capacity of wind power in Canada grew by an empowering 40% in 2009. However, the federal government’s renewable energy deployment incentive program, which has helped spur wind energy development in all areas of the country, has now expired, and thus far there have been no announcements to continue or expand the program.
