If you’d like to make your home more energy efficient, get into the growing field of renewable energy, or learn more about issues related to global warming and climate change, Lakeland College’s Renewable Energy & Conservation certificate program is for you.
Offered online, this program provides an introduction to conservation, climate change and renewable energy. Learn to install and maintain common renewable energy systems, increase energy efficiency through conservation and building construction practices, and reduce waste. Students may enroll full-time and follow the sequence of courses, or enroll part-time and take selected courses of interest.Learn about renewable energy alternatives currently in use or under development including solar, wind, bio-fuel and geothermal sources. Gain an understanding of current industry issues and learn about a variety of practical approaches and technologies as part of potential climate mitigation measures and solutions. Courses are offered two at a time for eight weeks each.
